- U.S. (2007~, Superior Energy Performance) and Korea(2014~, Energy Management System Performance Evaluation System) are working on implementation of energy saving certification system. A tool that can be used on a single building
- Why Do We Need This Development
- For the successful '5-Year State Administration Plan' of mandatory ZEB plan, we need transparent ZEB evaluation and smart building/energy city guidelines (5-year State Administration Plan, July 2017)
- To Achieve super-intelligent (IoT, AI and etc ), Installation of ESS in all public buildings by 2020 and achieve renewable production 20% by 2030
- To accomplish Zero Energy Building mandatory for public buildings by 2020 and private buildings by 2025
- EnPI evaluates and verifies the management system of an organization, but there is no city base renewable and energy evaluation/verification program
- Therefore, we are in need of international standards-based Zero Energy City (ZEC) performance evaluation program (U.S. started Zero Energy District program in 2016)/dd>
- How does it different
- First city base energy performance evaluation program combining International standards: ISO 17742(2015): City, ISO 50047(2016): organization, 50006(‘16년): EnPI performance evaluation
Excel based single building energy reduction tool → First to develop internet based City energy reduction program
[Note] Internet based energy performance evaluation based on international standard has not been developed
- Difficulties
- Problem in quantifying direct/indirect energy conservation affected by city/national policies
- How we can solve: Experiences on setting international standardization and establishing pilot programs (Analyzed more than 20 commercial buildings' EnPI Tools and currently in progress to apply/test 1,000 buildings)
- Apply advanced statistical technique city energy conservation solution (ISO 17742, 50047)
